Vintage Wedgwood pink / burgundy decorative transferware plate featuring the Memorial to George Rogers Clark and the Frontiersmen of the American Revolution / the Conquest of the West. Plate back also states the memorial was erected by the United States on land provided by the State of Indiana the county of Knox, and the City of Vincennes, MCMXXXI (1931). Made in England for Francis Vigo Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Vincennes, Indiana. In addition to the Wedgwood name, the impressed marks that relate to the date of making are unclear other than the "39" at the end indicating a 1939 year of production.
Measures approx. 9-3/8" in diameter. In great vintage condition, with crazing in the glaze but no nicks, chips, or cracks noted.
