Old Speckled White Graniteware Enamel Ware Double Boiler
For the collector of old graniteware, here we have a wonderful speckled white double boiler with tiny flecks of black mixed into the white enamel ware finish that is found top to bottom and inside out. Standing approx. 8 inch to the top of the lid, this granite ware double boiler has a seamless body and rounded belly or base that measures 7 inch in diameter, with a 6-1/2 inch handle. This double boiler likely dates to the 1950s, possibly 1960s.

When I first found this, both the outer base of the inset pan and the inner lining of the bottom pan were fully coated with signs of use, but with the magic of vinegar and a bit of soaking time, the lime deposits lifted right off. There are a couple of small chips in the enameling on the lid (one on the handle, the other under the rim), a crease on the side of the bottom/base pan, and a little nick or pop in its enameling. Other than that, the only thing to report is the expected wear on the underside, as shown.

Overall, a great piece in great condition, ready to fulfill its role in some of your favorite fabulous fudge!

Customer Reviews
The packages of Royal Doulton tea cups and dinner plates arrived in perfect condition. I could not be happier with the merchandise. Holly is personable and cares about the quality of the product as well as the packaging. Holly is a pleasure to work with and I will be shopping at Flashback Alley in the future. I'm so glad I found Flashback Alley!
