Vintage Mid-Century Modern Lux Atomic Starburst Wall Clock Robert Shaw
Coming out of the early 1960s, a Mid-Century Modern Robert Shaw Lux electric vintage wall clock in an atomic starburst spoke pattern. The spokes alternate between longer, wood-covered tapered tubular forms and gold-tone metal spokes with mini globes or atomic balls at the end. The clock center is an ivory or light cream color with gold-tone scalloped frame and a brass-colored center.
This wall clock measures 27 inch in diameter, across the longer, wooden spokes, with the face of the clock measuring approx. 9 inch in diameter. In good, working, age-appropriate condition, there are light scuffs in and a bit of tarnish to the metal, and there's a superficial indentation at the clock's center, below the 12. The electrical wiring is all original and fully intact (although the cord could probably use a thorough cleaning). Cord measures 56 inch long.
Clock back has a a screw adjustment for fast and slow, and is marked Robert Shaw Controls Company ~ Lux Time Division. The year 1963 is also showing on the back.
A great clock for any home styled in Mid-Century Modern design!
