Starburst 14k Gold Diamond Seed Pearl Opal Brooch Pin Pendant
Breathtaking 14k yellow gold starburst/sunburst seed pearl, opal and diamond brooch pin pendant, a Victorian Revival true beauty best appreciated up close and in person. Captivating the observer with its magical play of color in shades of blue and red, this pin/pendant features a European cut diamond (approx. 0.40 ctw) at the crowning center of a 10-point star, with four graduating seed pearls decorating each point. The mesmerizing beauty of this piece is heightened by the five 3mm opal cabochons that alternate with tiny golden knobs in between the delicate points. The pin-pendant's inverted scalloped frame is finished in a fleur de lis scroll.
Dating to the mid-1900's, this sweet vintage piece measures 32.5mm (1 1/4 inch), point to point, and can be worn as either a pin/brooch or pendant, having a closed/attached loop. The pin is marked and tests 14k. The diamond appears to be ever so slightly off center.
