Star Leader 24" 4-Fold Vintage Wooden Folding Ruler
One of two old wooden 4-fold folding rulers available here at Flashback Alley (see below), this vintage Star Leader measures 1/2 inch wide and 24 inch long and with metal hinges, including a round hinge at the center. One side of the ruler appears to have no markings, while the other side is incised STAR LEADER, along with PRICE 10 CENTS, and a faint MADE IN U.S.A. No other names or markings are found on either the wood or the metal.
This ruler is as found, with obvious age, use and wear leaving some numbers more faint than others. It opens and closes easily and properly, and shows some signs of splayed warping when folded in half. Age is unknown, but likely dates to the 1930s or 1940s.
