Beautiful antique Coiffe Borgfeldt Coronet Limoges cake plate decorated with a ring of delicate hand-painted pink wild roses and a small bouquet of matching flowers at the center. This porcelain cake plate is then trimmed with brushed gold on an embossed scroll border decoration.
Plate measures approx. 10-3/4 inch in diameter, across the cutout handles and 10 inch wide measuring side to side. In very good condition, with a small nick on the underside edge, not detected when ..
A wonderful large English earthenware pitcher or jug, likely from the Staffordshire region, with an unusual decorative mix. Around the body of the jug is a raised rope design forming four 6-sided polygon frames, three of which have brown transferware images of what I speculate are English warriors, each image having a golden luster finish. (The fourth panel is where the handle joins the jug body.) At the rim of the pitcher, both inside and out, is a lovely brown lattice and t..
With a Japanese influence so typical of the aesthetic movement, this antique Brownhills teapot was apparently a carryover of days gone by some two decades later. Dating to the 1920s, the stippled body is decorated with an overglaze enamel pattern of alternating zig-zag and fan vertical bands that flank colorful floral panels all around. Each of the two sides features one lone bright flower believed to be a cherry blossom or clematis, fuchsia in color that fades to white, wit..
A lovely red clay earthenware syrup pitcher wrapped in a Jackfield-style glossy black glaze and trimmed with lacy gold enamel work at and around the rim and shoulders.
I typically find this pottery classified as "Jackfield," however, have also seen the terms Jet Ware, Victorian jetware, or blackware used for these reddish clay vessels that are wrapped in a glossy black lead glaze.
Standing 6-1/4" high at the spout rim and 7" long, spout to handle, this pitcher is oval in sh..
Wonderful lobed ironstone biscuit jar, its melon form decorated on two sides with brown transferware floral sprays of daisies and petite wild flowers. The single-color transfer pattern inspires a colorful overlay of imaginative thought, while taste buds long for a sampling of the treats kept safe within.
A scalloped cap-like ridge encircles the crown of the semi-porcelain jar, which is topped by a most unusual embossed tin lid — a perfect fit in all respects. At the center o..
A lot of 3 antique (possibly vintage) glass medicinal bottles in three heights and colors. The tallest bottle is 5-7/8 inch tall, and thin at approx. 5/8 inch wide. The sides are inset / receded, one feeling more so that the other. This bottle appears to be unmarked as to maker, as I find nothing on either of the four side panels and what may be a "1" on the underside. (At first glance, I thought it may be a vertical seam, but after studying it a bit more, I'm less certain...
Reminiscent of the Royal Worcester Evesham pattern, this miniature creamer actually appears to be part of the Delecta line produced by Royal Worcester, in the Coburg shape. Decorated with various colored fruit, dainty bluebells, a couple of petite butterflies, and a lone beetle, this sweet little bone china creamer resembles an oaken bucket with staves and a branch handle.
In excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks. Measures 3-1/4 inch high with a base diamete..

Cute, cute, cute! Pair of figural open salts / salt cellar dips, with the duck body serving as the individual salt bowl, and the head decorated on each side with red enamel in the eyes. Although unsigned, 5000 Open Salts by Heacock & Johnson lists these as having been made in West Germany and originally marked with a paper label. Measuring 3 inch long from the tail to the beak and 1-3/8 inch wide, one of the ducks has a nick on the inside of the rim and another tiny flake..

Adding to our Black Americana collection, this wonderful Mammy cookie jar was distributed by the National Silver Company in the late 1940s / early 1950s. According to the Illustrated Value Guide to Cookie Jars, Book II, the National Silver Company 'was another distributor that did not manufacture any of the products they sold. It is difficult to tell who made the cookie jars for them since they had several different companies commissioned to manufacture the items they sold.'
