Antique 1900 Leather Victorian Chatelaine Purse with Silver Clip
Far from perfect but still perfect as an added touch for a Victorian display, this antique leather Victorian chatelaine purse is finished with a floral frame and an ornate scroll and rose embossed silver chatelaine clip. Purse measures 5-3/4" wide across the widest point of the base, 6-3/8" long from the knob to the base. From the top of the clip, it hangs 11" long. The sides of the knob bear the only marks, which relate to patent information — "Pat Feb." on one side and "27, 1900" (February 27, 1900). The leather on the inside is soiled with age, and the front and sides are quite worn, as shown, with the upper seams of the outer side pocket starting to separate on both sides. Clasp opens and closes as expected, without issue.
