Indian Jewelry of the American Southwest, Collectors Reference Book
1988 edition of 'Indian Jewelry of the American Southwest' by William and Sarah Peabody Turnbaugh. Reference books is and always has been one of my weaknesses, and when I recently acquired a stack of books and magazines on Native American jewelry of the American Southwest, it included a copy of this book, which meant I now had (but don't need) two.
With 95 numbered pages, the last few of which include a glossary, list of further reading, and price guide, this soft cover book provides some insight on:
-- Indian jewelry in history
-- buying and caring guides
-- Navajo, Zuni, Hopi and Rio Grande Puebloan jewelry
-- new directions in Indian jewelry
as well as a gallery of Indian jewelry that includes belts, bracelets, necklaces, pins, rings and assorted styles
Measures 11-1/2 inch high and 8-1/2 inch wide
Prepacked weight: 13.5 ounces
In great condition with no damage to the cover or any pages.
