Just way too cool (and super colorful!) this vintage 1950s Gibson holiday Christmas money greeting card takes on the form of a Christmas Circus Train, with the card folding out into three panels to reveal a variety of circus animals - giraffe, seal, elephant, and tiger - hanging out of the train windows along with two circus clowns, all decorated with glistening mica to provide a wonderful finishing touch. As with the other money cards I have available, this card is designed ..
Almost perfectly preserved and downright adorable, this old Christmas candy boot appears to be made of a thin cardboard, painted white, and then coated in a tiny white popcorn beading with gold glitter accents. Riding on the front of the Christmas boot is a red chenille Santa, with a sprig of holly to add a touch of green. At the top of the boot is a loop satin thread trim with a white netting to allow the boot to be filled beyond the brim, with candy and other goodies kept s..
A fabulous Woolson Spice chromolithograph trade card dating to 1893 and featuring a gorgeous curly-haired girl Writing the Letter to Santa. The white border frame around her holds visions of buggies, candy canes, Christmas trees, dolls, and more as she, at the center, ponders with quill pen in hand just what she should write.
In researching this little beauty, I didn't find this particular trade card, but I did find another illustrated by Frances Brundage, that (to me)..
A nice vintage honeycomb tissue paper heart, pierced by Cupid's arrow that reads in two parts With Love - To My Valentine. The heart opens up to have a flat back and has a string at the top so that it will hang on the wall, measuring 8-3/4" long. The center spine is marked Made USA - Patent 1809593, a patent number that dates to 1931.
In fabulous condition, with a slight curl to the bottom tip of the tissue and uniform color (that is more of an orange, not quite red, as ..
Royal Copenhagen blue and white collectible Mother's Day (Mors Dag) plate dating to 1975 and featuring a mother bird (possibly quail) and her young chick in the nest, the baby holding a flower in its beak. I've seen this plate listed as having an official name of Bird in Nest With Her Young One. Plate is in excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks, and measures 6" in diameter. Marked Royal Copenhagen Denmark - Mother's Day. Designed by Arne Ungermann...
Vintage Roly Poly Chein Santa tin lithograph figural decoration, made by CHEINCO in the USA and dating to 1980. Perfect for a candy container, Santa measures about 6-1/2" tall, 5-1/2" in diameter, with an opening of 3-1/2" in diameter when the head is removed. In very good condition, with some very minor surface scratches and one clear blemish (perhaps leftover glue from a sales sticker). No box. ..
Vintage 1970s vintage hand-painted ceramic Chadwick-Miller Santa Claus face ashtray, still in its original packaging, appearing to have never been used. Although the box label indicates its original intended design/purpose was that of an ashtray (note the cigarette rest is molded into the beard), this delightful piece would also make a wonderful open trinket pin dish or even a hanging wall decoration (note the hole on the back of the dish). Made in Taiwan for Chadwick-Miller..
Vintage Christmas coach stagecoach lantern hanging light with plastic frame and foiled cardboard backboard behind the light to provide a reflective look. Previously used but in good working condition, still in the box. The base of the light has a few superficial scratches and wear in the gold-tone plastic finish, and there is a torn plastic window to the box (not the light; the light has no side panels). Light measures 13-1/2" long, point to point, and 6-3/8" wide at the top,..
Beautiful Christmas ashtray and matchbox, elegantly decorated with sprigs of holly tied with bows under an enamel finish. Ashtray measures 3-7/8" across, 4" at the cigarette rest, and 7/8" tall. The matchbox is 1-3/4" long, 1-1/8" wide, and 1/2" tall, and still contains 6 matches (believed to be original). In excellent condition, no chips, cracks or other damage, perhaps some very minor signs of wear. Cardboard and striker portion of matchbox is clearly used. ..
Sweet vintage Christmas handkerchief, its scalloped edges decorated with Christmas holly and each corner resembling a holly wreath, finished with a red flaming candle at its center. At each wreath top is a red bow, the bow loops done in cut-out fashion. (The last four photos show each of the corners.) This handkerchief has no labeling, but I'm rather certain it is cotton. In great vintage condition, appearing to have never been used, and with no stains or ho..
If your sweetheart lady is one to love vintage hankies and is also a December baby, this Christmas poinsettia handkerchief birthday greeting card is sure to win her heart! The Treasure Masters birthday card handkerchief sleeve is embossed with red roses and other flowers, while the hanky itself has Christmas poinsettias around the edges and happy Santa on the inner segments. Hanky has oval All Cotton - Made In Philippines tag, along with the Sears, Roebuck & C..
Vintage Halloween candy stick with a green monster
head attached to the candy stick top via a pair of connectors that
extend out from the side of the monster's head, with hints of a rubber
band in an arrangement that suggests once the rubber band is twisted,
the head spins around. (Suddenly images from The Exorcist come to
mind....)I can only speculate on the original arrangement
since the rubber band is old and broken, making it impossible to
Hand blown and hand-painted mini glass ornaments, made in Poland, in excellent, very lightly used condition, dating to 2002. Two boxes of 6 each, 12 ornaments total. All are between 2" tall, 2" wide and 2" deep — a perfect size for feather tree ornaments. One box contains traditional Christmas-themed ornaments: Santa, drum and bugle, stocking, teddy bear, tree, and moon. The other is decidedly non-traditional, animal-themed: monkey, lion, dolphin..
Vintage embroidered Christmas Santa & bell handkerchief, featuring Santa Claus hanging from the ribbon to a bell, with clippings of holly to add to the festive appeal. I acquired this hanky in this case, but can't state with certainty that the case is its original packaging. Oval yellow label confirms that it was made in Switzerland and is all cotton, while the price tag ($0.39) would suggest it dates to the early 1960s.In good condition, with no holes or fraye..
