I've always marveled at the ingenuity evidenced by old primitive and antique hand tools, and here representing the hard work of the farmer is this hand-operated antique seed fiddle broadcast seeding machine. Relying solely on two feet and two hands to scatter the seed, farmers in the mid-1800s hand made and began using tools such as this. The canvas seed bag serves as a cloth hopper and has a shoulder strap that hooks to the seed box. The seed sifts down through the aperture ..

A pair of jeweled vintage Shriners Fez hats from the Ainad Masonic Temple of East St. Louis, Illinois. I personally know nothing of the Shriners' attire, but the hat in the hard zip Masonic case appears to be for more formal lodge events, with a set of three ornate Shriners fraternity pins to secure the side tassel. This hat is tagged as being a size 7. The other hat is more flexible (folds flat) in a soft case. I find nothing to indicate size on this one.
Both hats and ..
