Crystal Glass Figural Salt Cellar Dip Open Back Duck - West Germany
Cute, cute, cute!
Pair of figural open salts / salt cellar dips, with the duck body serving as the individual salt bowl, and the head decorated on each side with red enamel in the eyes.
Although unsigned, 5000 Open Salts by Heacock & Johnson lists these as having been made in West Germany and originally marked with a paper label.
Measuring 3 inch long from the tail to the beak and 1-3/8 inch wide, one of the ducks has a nick on the inside of the rim and another tiny flake at the base. Enameling fully intact, as well as their charm.
A great decorative pair and a fabulous addition for any open salt collection!
