Christmas 1893 Woolson Spice Writing Letter to Santa Trade Card
In researching this little beauty, I didn't find this particular trade card, but I did find another illustrated by Frances Brundage, that (to me) shows the same wide-eyed charm and beauty as is found here. She's just precious!
The condition of the card is quite good, especially considering its age. There are a couple of short tears down the top, not interfering with the image itself; a tear that comes into the candy cane at the right; and another short tear at the bottom, just to the right of center. Other than that, there's just the subtle rounding at the corners.
The bottom left corner is marked Copyright, 1893, Woolson Spice Co., while the bottom right corner reads Gast Litho Co., New York & Chicago. The back of the card contains a creative advertisement for Lion Coffee, offering a $100 reward for any adulterations found in Lion Coffee, "which is roasted in its natural state ... without the use of glazing or adulterations of any kind."
