Tall Butterscotch Italian Empoli Dimpled Cased Art Glass Ewer
Offered here for your decorating sweet tooth is a yummy butterscotch cased glass pitcher from the Empoli region of Italy, circa 1950. This ewer or pitcher stands elegant and tall, 18 inch high with a long, sleek neck and a bulbous pinched or dimpled base. With a teardrop start, the base is brought to a three-sided form with three concave circles that sink inward to a point.

Completing the curves on this beauty is an applied amber handle, nestled next to and rising up from the lower lip of the rim, with the handle arch nearly equaling the height of the spout. Favoring the grace of a swan's neck, the handle then makes a long, elegant drop to rejoin the pitcher near the top of the teardrop base.

This fabulous piece stands 18 inch high, with a 6-1/2 inch spout-to-handle span and a base diameter of 6 inch, at the widest point. In very good condition, with a few tiny encased bubbles and short, superficial scratches; no nicks, chips, or cracks. Circa 1950.

Customer Reviews
I received my mugs today and I could not be happier. Packaged with great care, lovely card to say thank you, and all intact. They are better than expected, with the size I really wanted, thinner rim for sipping coffee and hot chocolate. I really have a thing for pottery mugs and these are great quality and wonderful drip glaze. Flashback Alley owner Holly is wonderful to work with, great communication, extra service all along. Thank you again! I love them.

The packages of Royal Doulton tea cups and dinner plates arrived in perfect condition. I could not be happier with the merchandise. Holly is personable and cares about the quality of the product as well as the packaging. Holly is a pleasure to work with and I will be shopping at Flashback Alley in the future. I'm so glad I found Flashback Alley!
