Blue Opalescent Many Loops Bowl - Jefferson Glass

Blue Opalescent Many Loops Bowl - Jefferson Glass
This opalescent blue ruffled bowl is a luscious example of Jefferson Glass Company's Many Loops pattern, dating to circa 1908. According to the "Standard Encyclopedia of Opalescent Glass," this distinctive design of "spirograph-like pattern of overlapping loops, bordered by zig-zag threading" was listed as pattern #247 and is found in crystal as well as opalescent colors of white, blue, and green. I am offering this piece in both blue and green, with the green found as Item #00815.

Measures approx. 8-1/2" in diameter and 2-3/4" at the highest point. In very good condition, with an encased bubble near the base, a tiny open bubble with ash inclusion and a slight tooling mark at the rim, and a couple of ash inclusions, none of which detract from its appeal.
