Black Duncan Miller Glass Rocket Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay

Years ago, I found this modernistic rocket-shaped perfume bottle at a local St. Louis estate sale. I knew nothing about it other than it was beautiful, not like any I'd seen, and... well, I just had to have it. What can I say, a sweet silver overlay on jet black glass just holds my gaze and knows how to work my purse strings.

The only problem was it had one of those price tags that can make you stop and think, at least twice. And then there was the fact that I'd just moved to St. Louis, so the income and expenditures wasn't yet an even match. But I had a few play dollars stashed away, and told myself I wasn't likely to see another like it any time soon. And I haven't. Sometimes you just have to splurge and treat yourself.
