Baird-North Sterling Silver Gilt Salt Spoon - Circa 1910

Baird-North Sterling Silver Gilt Salt Spoon - Circa 1910
A sweet sterling silver salt spoon with a gilt bowl, the teardrop handle showing a floral decoration at the handle base and again at midpoint, with what appears to be a spread of English ivy at the curled handle tip.

Measuring 3-1/4" long, the back of the handle is marked Sterling Baird-North Co., which, according to the Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers, was largely a distributor in the early 1900s, potentially leaving the true maker of this sweet sterling silver salt spoon a mystery.
