Antique German Hanau Pierced Repousse Silver Bowl - Urns Floral Swags
Beautiful antique (circa 1910) German Hanau continental silver bowl with a pierced repousse floral urn motif, accented with floral swags and C-scrolls. Basket measures 5" in diameter and stands 1-3/4" high on a flared foot. The inner base of the bowl has a monogram initial that looks to be an "h" in an Old English monogram font.
The hallmark is not crisp, but matches one I found on the 925-1000 silver hallmark site that shows a G under a crown, a P under a different crown, and the letters RI inside a shield, under yet another crown, and identified as being German Hanau, with likely attribution to George Roth.
Hallmarked as shown, with the initials BA stamped into the underside of the rim (likely related to the original owner).
