Antique Bishop & Stonier footed covered dish / soup or large vegetable tureen, this semi-porcelain server has a pink and blue wild flower floral pattern and a gilt-finished embossed scroll trim. Server measures 11-1/4" wide, handle to handle (approx. 8-3/4" across at the rim, side to side) and stands approx. 7-1/2" high to the top of the finial. No cracks or repairs, but there is a hint of roughness in the glaze on the upper rim of the base and the outer rim of the lid, likely the result of use over the 100+ years. See zoom close-up of all photos for a more comprehensive assessment.
Marked with the brown Bishop & Stonier semi-porcelain Imperial mark, England, with a raised rectangular British registry mark that appears to be R227450, which would date this to 1895.
