I always find archives of sold items helpful, so I've kept and moved this here. But to anyone looking for price comps, one word of caution

This item may have sold this week, this month, this year, or as long ago as sometime this decade.  As such, the listed selling price may not be indicative of the current value of any similar item.

1971 Paul Lux Vintage Liquor Decanter Bottle St Louis Blues Hockey

SOLD! 1971 Paul Lux Vintage Liquor Decanter Bottle St Louis Blues Hockey

Vintage figural decanter depicting a St Louis Blues hockey player, created by Paul Lux in 1971 for Colonial China and Old Blue Ribbon Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The hockey player is standing in full uniform with ice skates and holding a hockey stick in front of him.

Originally holding 4/5 quart of 5 year old 86 proof whiskey, this pottery decanter bottle is now empty. The decanter is in great condition, with no nicks, chips or cracks. There still is a bit of paper tape residue from the Federal tax strips on the back of the decanter that you can easily wash and clean off if you wish. I've not pulled out the cork that is attached under the hockey player's helmet as I was concerned that in doing so I may inadvertently tear the cork. (As best I can tell, it appears to be fully intact.)

Decanter measures 14-5/8 inch high and a base diameter of approx. 4-3/4 inch.

Prepacked weight: 2 lb 13 oz
