1970s Robert Shaw Lux Have a Happy Day Smiley Face Alarm Clock
Here's a blast from the 1970s past, still in the box! Vintage Robert Shaw Lux Time Have a Happy Day smiley face alarm clock. This wind-up, two-bell alarm clock has a round yellow face with black oval eyes at 10 and 2 o'clock, a nose that holds the hour and minute hands, and a big happy smile that spans the lower half of the clock face. Below the mouth is the reminder to "have a Happy Day". In great working condition, this clock stands approx. 5-3/4 inch high to the top of the carrier attached to the bell tops and approx. 4-1/8 inch wide.
I found this clock still in the box with a thin sheet of styrofoam packaging around the clock body. I speculate it's never been used, but note there is a bit of oxidation at the top of the handle and hints on the bells.
The base of the clock face shows this as Made in U.S.A., while the clock back reads Robert Shaw Controls Company / Lux Time Division / Lebanon, Tenn. U.S.A.

1960s vintage no iron, flat full size percale sheet in a ribbon pattern of dainty yellow roses, the sheet edge trimmed in white floral lace. Coming out of the early 1960s, a Mid-Century Modern Robert Shaw Lux electric vintage wall clock in an atomic starburst spoke pattern. The spokes alternate between longer, wood-covered tapered tubular forms and gold-tone metal spokes with mini globes or atomic balls at the end.
