Dickens' immortal Christmas Carol has long symbolized the festive Holiday Season. The incomparable ability of Charles Dickens to describe in detail both his characters and situations has enabled our artist to accurately reproduce in enduring ceramic underglaze one phase of the story, namely the transformation of Scrooge after his sixty minute dream encounter with the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The people who make up the Buffalo Pottery Family have chosen this method of expressing their desire for your Health, Happiness, and Prosperity for this and many Holiday seasons to come. / Buffalo Pottery, Inc. / Buffalo 10, New York / December 25, 1953.
