10k Antique Victorian Honeymoon Crescent Moon Pin with Diamond Flower
This 10k antique Victorian honeymoon crescent moon pin is a sweet little token of love that is sure to make a huge lasting impression! Taking on an added glow with nine tiny half seed pearls, the flower at center stage delicately glistens with a 2mm old mine cut diamond. Adding a touch of color to the bloomed gold of this antique pin, the leaves appear to have a subtle green gold accent.
For those less familiar with the symbolism behind the honeymoon pin, Dale Reeve Nicholls, in the "Antique Enameled Jewelry" book, details the Victorian meaning as follows: "the crescent represented the moon, and the flower represented the nectar, or the 'honey' part of the puzzle."
This estate jewelry pin measures 23mm (approx. 7/8") wide. Unmarked but tests in the 10k gold to 12k gold range (once tested at 10k, twice at 12k, and so is being conservatively graded at 10k). In very good to excellent condition, with one pearl appearing a bit darker that the others but no damage or repairs noted. Pin has a c-clasp with good tension on the pin stem.
If you're looking for sentimental jewelry, this is a perfect wedding or anniversary gift for the romantic!
