Breyer Molly the Balking Mule (Mold #753)

$45.00

One of a number of Breyer horses I have available, this is Breyer's stubborn Molly Mule (Model # 753), from the Balking Mule traditional mold, originally sculpted by Chris Hess. With a glossy grey shaded body, dark gray points, small black spatter spots, and a black halter, Molly was released for six months, during the spring of 1999, as a Collector's Edition Breyer.

Molly still retains her hang tag, which reads: "Last seen in the Breyer line over 25 years ago, the 'balking mule' makes her comeback debut in 1999. First introduced in 1968 in bay and seal brown, these older Mules are a collector's treasure. . . . Sculpted by master Breyer artist Chris Hess, the Mule has not been widely available until now! Returning for a short time to the Breyer line is Molly, a stunning glossy grey appaloosa Mule. This old-style color is a collector's favorite, giving the piece a look of fine ceramic."

Molly is listed on page 34 of Browell's Breyer Animal Collector's Guide (3rd ed., 2003). In excellent condition, with no issues noted. (To look at her from the underside, there appears to be some excess layering on her right rear hoof, however, she stands level.) Molly was part of a large cabinet (non-toy) collection.

Interested in any of my other Breyers?  I'm more than happy to combine shipping, where and to the extent possible.
