Miniature Austria Disc Perfume Bottle with Filigree Trim

Offering a sweet mini perfume bottle made in Austria that is unlike most I've seen. Circa 1930, the front panel of this miniature Austrian bottle is shielded by a crisp white enamel plate that has a red lacy, snowflake- or starburst-type decorative pattern, with alternating spokes of finely painted flowers and ornamental buds. The bottle's back shows a bare pressed glass panel with a raised spirograph-type decoration. A gilt metal filigree frames the bottle edges, with a heart-shaped filigree edging that folds into and points to center on the bottle's side panels.

The antiqued or bronze-colored metal lattice cap has a tiny raised metal Austria label on one side and a white cabochon stone set in the top. Measuring 1-3/4" in diameter, 2-1/2" long from the stone to the bottle base, and approx. 7/16" thick, this bottle is in fabulous condition, with no damage noted and the glass dauber still intact.

A full 7.5 ML miniature bottle of Le Baiser Du Dragon ("'kiss of the dragon") eau de parfum from Cartier, in its original box. With a wonderful woody, oriental scent, this one is a sure match for any spicy evening.

Antique Czech Bohemian Turquoise Enamel Perfume Bottle

A gorgeous antique Bohemian turquoise glass perfume bottle, with a full display of enamel decoration of curly cues and flowers, all in and around an ornate beaded border somewhat reminiscent of a Persian palace. A delicate gilt trim highlights the beading and frames the pink curls in painstaking detail.

The globe- or ball-shaped glass perfume bottle stands 4-1/4" high to the top of the collar. As to be expected, there is wear to the gilt trim and some of the enamel decoration. On close inspection, you'll note there apparently once were glass beads at the center of the three decorative side panels. My guess is that after the first one was damaged, the remaining two were removed to bring the bottle decoration back to a uniform look. Beautiful as is, but again complete with your own or a replacement top and atomizer bulb.

Mexican Sterling Silver Shell Perfume/Snuff Bottle - Jeweled Cap

Offering a sweet sterling silver perfume bottle in the shape of a closed shell, a smooth green cabochon stone (that has a look of glass) bezel set in the lid top. I've seen some people refer to these as snuff bottles (I speculate due to the crude design of the dauber).

There are various hallmarks on the underside, only some of which I can decipher; marked Sterling, Mex (Mexico) 925, with what appears to be the name Ormex on the left and a partially impressed Eagle mark to the right.

Measures 2-1/2" high and 2-1/2" wide. In very good condition, with no dings, dents, or creases.

IRice Czech Cut Crystal Perfume Bottle

This lovely cut crystal bottle with faceted stopper and starburst base possesses many of the characteristics of the Bohemian cut crystal work imported for Irwing W. Rice & Co. of New York in the early to mid-1930s, a name often seen and referred to as IRice. According to a 1933 advertisement included in Jacquelyne Y. Jones-North's "Czechoslovakian Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories," these cut glass toiletries bottles were originally filled with smelling salts.

With tapered sides that are smooth on the lower half and notched at the corners, the upper portion of the bottle and the faceted stopper are both cut to catch and beautifully reflect light. There are a few tiny nicks on the facet edges and a couple of small chips on the stopper base, not detected with the stopper in place. I speculate the remnants on the underside give hint of what once was an IRice label.

Measures 3-1/2" high (2-3/4" to the bottle rim) and 1-7/8" in diameter.

Irice Daisy Stopper Perfume Bottle - Irving W Rice

A wonderful war-era perfume bottle with a daisy stopper, manufactured in the USA by Imperial Glass for Irwing W. Rice & Co. of New York (IRice) in the early 1940s.�� The flat flower stopper is entirely smooth on one side, while the other side has a moulded diamond-point texture, which helps to catch and play with the light.

The bottle itself measures 2-1/2" high and 2-3/4" wide, with the stopper bringing the assembled height to 5-3/4".� The stopper has a shallow flake on the top of the textured petal side, likely to be undetected, given its placement and insignificant size.� The only other issue to mention is a small encased bubble near the top of the stopper.

Perfume bottle still retains the IRice silver and black foil label, marked Made in U.S.A.

Rare Complete Set: 8 Shulton Friendship Garden Bath Salt Tubes

Add a bit of 1940s charm with this fabulous boxed set of eight bath salt tubes from Shulton in its Friendship's Garden fragrance. Ready to hang on the wall, the scalloped-edge box front is decorated with two inwardly facing blue birds, each sitting on a spray of roses in full bloom, with a third matching bird hovering above the tubes. A sprinkling of delicate pink hearts, simplistic in form, add a touch of sweet color to the background.

Measuring just under 8-1/2" inches long and 3/4" in diameter, each tube has 3/4" dark green end caps, with the cardboard tube between decorated in wallpaper style with roses, bluebells, and other bright and cheery flowers.

Like a secret message tucked behind and guarded by the bath salt tubes, the back inner panel of the heavy cardboard box reads: Rose betokens Majesty & Love - Jasmine betokens Amiability - Heliotrope betokens Admiration. The curved box top is pierced with one hole for hanging, with the box itself measuring 10-1/2" high, 7-1/4" wide, and 1" deep.

From what I can gather, Shulton first introduced the Friendship's Garden perfume line in 1939, apostrophe and all. At some point later (around the early 1960s), the apostrophe was dropped, leaving the name at "Friendship Garden". This set is of the original name production.

With an advertised net weight of 12 ounces, these appear to be unused, with each seeming to hold an equal amount of salts. The outer brown cardboard box tends to show its years, with one of the long side panels of the lid having torn away, but it's done its job well, keeping this boxed set safe from harm and in wonderful condition, with only light hints of age here and there.

If you're looking for a sweet, shabby charmer to decorate a small bland and barren wall, this one is a real winner!

Mary Chess "Strategy" Solid Cream Perfume Pendant Locket

Mary Chess solid cream perfume in the Strategy perfume fragrance, a lovely natural scent created in 1942. Founded ten years earlier, in 1932, the Mary Chess Company created fragrances using all natural ingredients.

The face of the pendant is creamy white and appears to be glass that is then decorated with a painted floral bouquet in warm tones of golden yellow, tan, and brown, with deep green leaves.

Unused and still in the original box, the cream perfume pendant is oval in shape, measuring 1-3/4" long and approx. 1-1/2" wide. The pendant is suspended on a 28" gold-tone rope link chain, which attaches to the pendant with a spring ring clasp. The back of the pendant bears the Mary Chess chess piece logo, as does the inner lining of the box lid.

In excellent condition (although the cream perfume is now aged with time). The box underside has the gold foil label of Mary Chess, inc. - London * New York * Montreal - Cream Perfume - Strategy, with a net weight of .25 oz.

Vintage Heart-Shaped Blue Waltz Perfume Bottle (Empty)

A sweet miniature Blue Waltz perfume bottle,with an embossed key hole on the reverse.� This mini 5/8 fl. oz.bottle has the original Blue Waltz paper label still intact, slightly crinkled on one side.� The residue from the now empty, evaporated content still provides a wonderful fragrance to the reminiscent, curious nose. Measuring 3-1/8" high to the top of the lid, it's my sense that these miniature bottles may have had a novelty "key to my heart" chained to the lid.

1920s Miniature Perfume Bottle in Silver Cage Casing - France

Crystal Pleated Deco DeVilbiss Perfume Bottle - Flower Dauber

Lovely vintage DeVilbiss perfume bottle with a sleek pleated form, decorated with white and gold painted flowers on one side of the base and dauber.� The crystal perfume bottle measures approx. 3-1/8" wide, 1" thick, and 2-3/8" to the base of the collar, with the long, thin tab dauber bringing the height to 5-3/8".

In very good condition, with tiny nicks to the corners of the dauber top.�

Perfume bottle base is marked DeVilbiss - Made In USA.
