Champion Agate Coral Marble

Champion Agate coral swirl marble, with a translucent green base that is filled with wispy threads and wrapped in a coral swirl, which appears to rise out of the center from a funnel tip form.

Size: 15 mm in diameter (just under 5/8 inches)

Condition: Very good (near mint).� There are a few pinpricks and scratches, a small blow-out pit (approx. 1mm), and a tiny cluster of as-made surface dimples.�

Akro Corkscrew Marbles Red Onyx Spiral and Black Orange Snake

Two Akro corkscrew marbles, each showing some sign of play but not terribly so.� The first mib is an Akro red onyx, with a transparent cherry red base in a triple wrap onyx spiral.� The second marble has an opaque orange base and a black cork or snake.�

Size: 17 mm and 16 mm, respectively (putting them just over and right at 5/8� inches in diameter)

Condition: Good, with some signs of play, more so on the orange/black one, but still a fabulous pair of Akro marbles for a growing collection.

Figural Crinoline Lady Brass Bell Made in England

Bells....� A wonderful way to get people's attention, be it in the variety of the collection (ranging in material and/or form) or their ability to MAKE NOISE!� This vintage figural brass bell depicts a young lady dressed in Victorian style, with her crinoline skirt in hooped layers, giving the brass clapper a fabulous, resonating sound.�

Standing 3-3/4" high, this bell is in great condition, marked Made In England on the inner surface.

Wood 24 Inch Folding Ruler, Brass Joints, Boxwood Segments

Offering another old folding wood ruler, this one doesn't appear to include a maker name, but is instead only marked Made In USA and Warranted Boxwood.�� With brass joints that unfold this way and that, the wood has that rich, weathered look and feel, having served as a trusted work companion for many years.

Extending to a length of 24", this ruler consists of four hinged segments, one of which is marked Made in U.S.A. and another Warranted Boxwood.

Vintage Heddon Jointed Sinking River Runt Spook Fishing Lure

One of a vast number of vintage fishing lures I have available, all coming from the same estate.

This Heddon Jointed River Runt Spook Sinker 9339L comes from the 9330 Series, and is in the Perch Scale color.� Measures 2-7/8" long, plus the spoon

Other Information: The Heddon catalog indicates this lure is similar to the one-piece river runt spook only jointed, offering lively action with plenty of tail "kick" that bass, walleyes and pike have a hard time resisting.� Also excellent for large brown, rainbow, and lake trout. �

I found this bait in the perch scale color in the 1939 and 1940 catalogs.� However, by 1950, it appears Heddon had discontinued that color for this lure.

1937 Machinery's Handbook - 1954 Use of Handbook Tables Formulas

With almost 1,600 numbered pages and a combined weight of 3 pounds, the Machinery's Handbook and The Use of Handbook Tables and Formulas offer some heavy stuff for machine shop and drafting room use.

Filled with mathematical tables, logarithms, charts, and diagrams, it appears this 9th edition of the Machinery's Handbook from 1937 contains instruction on just about any task a machinist may need to tackle. Coming from the same estate is The Use of Handbook Tables and Formulas, based upon the Machinery's Handbook, but with a copyright much later - 1954. The inside cover states it contains 500 examples and test questions of the application of tables, formulas and general data in Machinery's handbook, selected especially for engineering and trade schools, apprenticeship and home-study course..." and should be used in conjunction with the 15th edition, but I would imagine much of the information still applied.

The Machinery's Handbook shows definite signs of its age, with wear at every corner as well as on the spine. The leather is lifting from the inside cover and the outermost pages, front and back, show wear as well. Some of the pages have creased and folded corners, but I don't detect any missing pages. Almost 20 years younger, the smaller Use of Handbook book looks to be in better condition, but there are pages toward the back with a tear up the center of the page, with some creasing, but content complete.

Orange Creamsicle Akro Onyx Corkscrew Marble

Akro onyx corkscrew marble with a translucent orange base, and a white spiral corkscrew with a thin stripe of a softer orange near its center.� (This one reminds me of and makes me hungry for an orange creamsicle bar!)

Condition: Very good, with a couple of tiny nicks and a partial contact bruise, but no glaring detractions.

Zuni Mosaic Inlay Knifewing Cuff Bracelet

A spectacular Native American Zuni mosaic inlay cuff bracelet, circa 1960's, featuring a Knifewing spirit figure at the center, composed of jet, spiny oyster, mother-of-pearl, and turquoise (blue and green), all mounted in serrated bezels.� The bracelet shank consists of three round, flat-base silver wires that join at the terminals, and two sidebars that flank Knife Wing's warrior pose.

Knifewing stands 1-1/2" wide and 1-7/8" high, spanning the full bracelet width.� The inner surface of the bracelet measures approx. 5-1/4", end to end, with a 1" opening.� The metal frame is sturdy enough to keep it secure, but provides enough flexibility should you need to expand the opening a bit.

There's a small chip at one of of the toes, but otherwise this cuff bracelet is in fabulous vintage condition and would make any collector proud.

Antique Victorian Decorated Harlequin Opalescent Ewer

Featured in the Standard Encyclopedia of Opalescent Glass (with a BV of $325+), this gorgeous Decorated Harlequin art glass ewer is in a soft array of colors, with the bulbous base in a diamond-within-diamond opalescent pattern decorated with a wrap of light green leaves around a clear and cranberry applied flower.� The neck of the ewer transitions to a light blue opalescent fluted top, in a luscious color that whispers paradise. The blown glass handle matches the green leaves, and has a pinched applied form.

The Harlequin (a/k/a Quadruple Diamonds) pattern is listed only as English, with this vase exhibiting characteristics quite similar to the works of Stevens & Williams and Thomas Webb.

Perfectly beautiful but structurally not quite perfect, there is a heat check within the glass at the ewer top, where the handle is attached. (The glass surface is smooth and undisturbed.) The handle itself, more delicate in nature, has a crack at the same point (all the result of the cooling process), with this crack visually detectable only when viewed from a lower vantage point. No other nicks, chips, or cracks, with a rough pontil.

As you can see, this Victorian antique art glass ewer displays quite beautifully!

Pair of 1964 Ideal Petite Princess 4415-6 Hostess Dining Chairs

A pair of Petite Princess Fantasy Furniture hostess dining chairs, upholstered in a plush red velvet on the seat back as well as the seat. Chair frame is a creamy white hard plastic, decorated with a gold trim antique finish. Measure 3" high. In excellent condition, in original box dated 1964, and marked as Petite Princess Stock #4415-6 150.

Green Moon and Stars Canister Jar - LE Smith #6283

From L.E. Smith's best selling and most notable line, this Moon and Star canister is the second largest available.� Listed as the 3-1/2 lb. penny candy jar (ware #6283), this Antique Green (avocado) canister jar measures 9" high, including the lid, with a base diameter of 5-1/2".

Top to bottom, this jar is in excellent condition. Although used, I find no signs of abuse -- the glass is bright and shiny. The only thing I note is small bubbles in the lid, one of which was at the top surface, leaving the slightest hint of roughness.

I do have other jars to the set, but am offering them separately to best accommodate the individual shopping needs.

Vintage 1973 Hasbro Weebles Wobble Father in Red Shirt

Vintage Dalton Special Barracuda Wood Fishing Lure

This is a vintage Dalton Special Barracuda lure made of wood and in a green frog pattern.� I believe these are wooden topwater lures. The yellow belly of this bait has a series of red dots and a red underside at the front end, stamped Dalton Special St Pete near the lead hook.

Measures 4" long, not including the original hardware, which includes a tail hook and prop spinner that is stamped Barracuda Brand St. Pete. � Manufactured by Florida Fishing Tackle Co.

Domed D & E Juliana Easter Egg Brooch Purple, Blue and Pink

A gorgeous domed Juliana Easter egg brooch designed by Delizza & Elster, with three egg-shaped cabochons in a multi-colored speckling over a purple background, accompanied by a delightful mix of prong-set rhinestones -- royal blue navettes, smaller purple navettes, fuchsia / hot pink chatons, and aurora borealis shades ranging from soft pink to a medium blue.

In a gold-tone setting, the navette rhinestones are all open back, as is typical of Juliana jewelry. Other indicators consistent with Juliana are the colorful mix of rhinestones, and figure eight pooled soldering. A confirmed D&E creation, this Juliana brooch is in near perfect condition, with only light signs of wear to the aurora borealis finish on a couple of the stones.

Measures 2-1/4" in diameter.

WWII RG34 German Military Rifle Cleaning Kit/Set

Offering a WWII RG34 (Reinigungsger�t 34) German military weapon rifle cleaning kit set dating to 1944. The 5-1/4" long metal box or case has two flip-top lids, one at each end, with the larger compartment containing an oiler, pull-through chain, and two brushes, one of which would have been used for cleaning and the other for oiling. The case would have also originally held cleaning patches and a take-down tool, neither of which remain with the set.

The lid to the larger compartment bears two markings, with the left side showing a light stamping of the German eagle over N proof mark (something I've also seen referred to as the dirty bird) over the Waffenamt code of WaA313, the inspection mark used by the German Third Reich on military equipment. According to one site I found, many of these RG34s were made by Mauser, and you frequent find them listed as such. However, this WaA313 mark relates this set to Mundlos (a manufacturer of RG34s), in either 1942 or 1944 in the city of Magdeburg. The ab44 marking on the right suggests the year of manufacture/inspection was the latter, 1944.

With wear evidencing its age, there also are some light scratchings on the side panel, which appear to be numbers and letters, likely indicating information related to its original owner.

A great collection addition for those who collect militaria from WWII or the Wehrmacht German Armed Forces.

Handleless Transferware Mellor Venables NING PO Cup/Saucer Set

A delightful addition for any collection, this antique handleless cup (tea bowl) and saucer is a fabulous sampling, in blue, of the Ning Po transferware pattern potted by Mellor, Venables & Co. The inner lining of both the saucer and cup is framed by a 1-1/2" soft and feminine powder blue band, with a peaceful river bank scenery in the center, while the outside of the cup shows the same band, in greater width.

The 12-sided footed teabowl measures 2-5/8" high and 3-3/4" in diameter, while the saucer/underplate has 14 panels and measures 6" in diameter. Both pieces are in wonderful condition; slight wear on the cup rim and a small chip on the underside, as shown. The saucer is simply wonderful.

The cup itself is unmarked, but the underplate/saucer has the blind impressed mark of Mellor, Venables & Co. (Hole House Pottery, Burslem in Staffordshire), which was in business from 1834-51.

Just a fabulous set, so why not just treat yourself!

CF Monroe Nakara Art Glass Jewel Box

A beautiful antique art glass jewel box by C.F. Monroe, produced as part of its Nakara line.� The opal ware jewelry box has a six-sided hexagon shape decorated in a satin pink blush background with small lime green circles framed in white beads, mounted with gold-plated trimmings.� Left in the original bare opal white color, the central raised rib design on the paneled lid resembles a six-armed starfish. �

Although unsigned (they generally were stamped, with most stampings incomplete and/or faint), this particular shape is known to any seasoned collector as being from the Nakara line. �

The satin lining on the inside of the jar is without a doubt worn, with discoloration as well as tears that in places leaves the lining little more than threads.� While photographing the jewelry box, I discovered that the fixative that keeps the mounting securely on the base has lost its hold.� While you can pick the jar up by its lid, I wouldn't recommend doing so, at least not until you apply a new fixative to keep it in place.

There is a flake on the base rim, which can't be seen as it is under the metal mounting.� No nicks, chips, or cracks, and only a couple of tiny white beads showing a bit of loss.

1960s Cragstan Tin Litho Friction Lady Bug Toy in Orig Box

A wonderful Cragstan Lady Bug (the largest ladybug I've ever seen!) but then this one is a toy, unable to take flight, and having the strangest leg movement to boot. The front and one of the rear side wheels is free-spinning, while the remaining (third) wheel has friction tension.

As best I can tell, turn or wind up the outer red-tipped legs then place her on the ground, and she moves forward, red legs circling her winged body. Turn the legs counter-clockwise and she'll even move backwards! Lady bug doesn't run too far, maybe a foot or so, but then with all those legs running every which way, well... Not being a toy aficionado, it may be that the mystery action is truly a mystery to me.

This lady bug has seen little if no serious play time -- I find only a few tiny rubs, which I speculate are from coming in and out of the box, and the metal (tin?) underplate has a crease toward the back, off to one side, that does not affect movement.

Measures 5-5/8" long and 4-5/8" wide (body only, not counting the legs or spring antenna). Marked "Cragstan" on the underside with "Mikuni - Made In Japan" at the rear tip of the right wing. The box has a Cragstan stock number of 1557-6, with the letters "NGS" in a diamond, with the "G" being a larger size. Pat. No. 402274.

The box itself is in overall good condition, with a small hole at one corner of the bottom; a crease at one side/corner; and a couple of peeling tears at and around the patent number.

Gilded Meka Purple Enamel Sterling Demitasse Spoon

The prettiest of the bunch, here is another gorgeous Scandinavian sterling demitasse spoon, with this spoon showing a delicate gold wash (vermeil) bowl and a purple enamel on the elegant handle front.

Sterling Alvin Francis I Large Solid Jelly Server

Large solid sterling silver jelly server in the Francis I pattern manufactured by the Alvin Corporation circa 1910, at a time when the company was operating under the name Alvin-Beiderhase (1893-1919). Although certain Alvin assets and patterns were purchased by Gorham in the late 1920s (1928), I believe this pattern had been discontinued by that time.

With one scalloped edge extending above the flat jelly server blade, this sterling Francis I server measures approx. 5-1/2" long. In good monogrammed (D) condition, showing some use but no dents or dings.

Old British Make Scalloped Daisy Face Round Padlock

Here's another old padlock, coming from the same estate, with this one marked British Make on the steel shackle and no other markings to be found on either the pad lock or the set of two keys.� The face of this round padlock is a bit unusual, with a scalloped front plate that reminds me somewhat of a cut cookie or maybe a stylized daisy. �

This padlock measures 1-3/4" in diameter, 2-3/4" long, from the top to the base, and approx. 3/4" thick at the widest point.� In great working condition, with both keys.

Scalloped Christmas Poinsettia Handkerchief with Original Tag

Offered here is a wonderful and unused handkerchief from years of old, with this scalloped hanky featuring a pair of bright red poinsettias in one corner, gathered together in bouquet form with boughs of holly and silvered evergreen. In each of the other corners is a little holly sprig. All corner decorations are satin stitched and embroidered. I am not well-versed with fabrics, but this sheer, feminine hanky has a linen feel.

In gorgeous, unused condition, with the "Made In Switzerland" label still affixed. Measures 10-1/2" square, 15" corner to corner.

Medium Green Homer Laughlin Harlequin Cup Saucer Set

Tall Green Moon and Stars Canister Jar - LE Smith #6285

From one of the major patterns for which L.E. Smith is known, this large canister jar is Ware No. 6285, the 5-lb. penny candy jar, standing 11" high.� Produced from the late 1960s to early 1980s (1968-1983), this canister is in avocado green, a color that was listed by LE Smith as antique green.� In fabulous condition, there are the typical encased bubbles commonly found in thicker, heavier glass, and one shallow flake at the seam on the lid ridge.

Prepacked, this vintage pressed glass canister weighs 4-3/4 lbs!

Gorham Strasbourg Large Sterling Silver Serving Spoon

Vintage Cast Iron Drunk Lamp Post Light Pole Ashtray

Well, it looks like this fellow got all dressed up for a night on the town, and now is having a bit of trouble finding his way home. With his wobbly legs sliding out from under him, he hugs the street lamp post for dear life.

The paint on both the lamp post and the man himself is original, with only a bit of paint loss here and there. The cast iron ashtray base shows some light oxidation, which you should be able to return to or near an original finish. The two cigarette rests appear to be wide enough to accommodate a cigar.

Standing (barely) approx. 5" high, on an ashtray base that is 4-1/4" deep and 3-3/4" wide, this charming collectible is unmarked. A great decor addition for your favorite bar!

Vintage Wood Burning Pyrography Utility Box

Appearing to date to circa 1915, offered here is a wonderful lightweight vintage (nearing antique) pyrography lidded utility box decorated in pyrographic style with a red poinsettia on the left and a Gibson girl in profile on the right. The hinged lid is finished with the same design, differing only in that the outer surface adds dyed color to the red flowers and green leaves. Each of the hinges are marked Pat. Nov. 9-15.

Box measures 10-5/8" long, 5-1/4" deep, and 1-3/4" high. Moderate surface wear all the way around, as shown, but nothing that seriously detracts from the box's charm.

A vintage 1993 Hallmark ornament featuring Santa and a perky poodle in a Coca Cola collectible decoration sold as Playful Pals.� Santa holds a coke bottle in his right hand and a blue bulb ornament in his left, while his playful pal stands atop a dog house decorated with a red satin bow, marked on the front with the year 1993.

Vintage 1960s and a sweet little art glass creamer or miniature pitcher believed to be the work of the Pilgrim Art Glass Company.� In a gorgeous azure blue, the body of the pitcher offers a mix of white spatter, while the applied loop handle offers a solid enhancement in color.� Unmarked, with an unfinished pontil mark.� In excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks.

Murano Angel Candle Holder with Gold Aventurine Bullicante

A sweet angelic Murano art glass candle holder with a pear-shaped body that is filled with a controlled pattern of aventurine bubbles (Bullicante). This art glass angel figure holds a clear crystal candlestick holder in her hands with a clear featureless face and wavy hair. The round disc halo and her arms and ribbed wings are all finished with a dusting of gold fleck inclusions.

Solid and heavy, this art glass decorative figure could serve double duty as a candle holder or paperweight (but I wouldn't recommend actively using both at the same time).

She stands approx. 7-1/4" high, and 3-1/2" from the front to back wing tip. Original red foil Murano Made In Italy label. In excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks. Prepacked weight: 1-1/2 lbs.

McCoy Yellow Double Tulip Vase

Now you can enjoy beautiful flowers and the first signs of Spring all year round with this wonderful yellow McCoy Pottery double tulip vase, in a gloss glaze finish.� A pair of bright, creamy yellow tulips sit like lemon chiffon atop light green leaves that are accented at the edges by a blend of soft brown, a young tulip bud resting near the ground.�� First produced in 1948, this lovely vase is signed McCoy and bears the original round purple ink price stamp.

Measures 8� high and 7� wide.� In excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks.� (There are a couple of small spots that look glaze bare, but they retain the high gloss finish of the final glazing.)

Light Green Homer Laughlin Harlequin Double Egg Cup

Homer Laughlin's Harlequin art deco pattern was a Fiesta spin-off, unmarked and marketed through F.W. Woolworth as a more economical dinnerware line. Sold from the late 1930s to the mid-1960s, the bright and colorful assortment included most of the Fiesta colors, with a similar band of rings ornamentation.

This Homer Laughlin Harlequin double egg cup is of the original 1940s era release, in light green, not quite as easy to find as some of the other colors. (Of course, medium green would be the REAL prize...!) Standing 3-3/4" high, the larger cone-shaped cup -- used for a poached egg -- has a band of thin rings on the outer surface, with a band of thicker rings slightly higher on the inner surface. The large cone diameter is 2-7/8" wide at the outer rim, while the hard-boiled egg cup is 1-7/8" wide.

As for older versus newer Harlequin pieces (the line was reissued in 1979 for a short run, to help celebrate Woolworth's 100th anniversary), according to Huxford's Collector's Encyclopedia of Fiesta: "The Harlequin Ironstone dinnerware they produced was a very limited line and is easily recognized" with "virtually none of its unique accessory pieces [] reproduced".

In excellent condition, appearing to have seen little to no use.

Precious as can be, this sweet Goebel figurine is the Christmas Angel, inspired by the creative artistry of M.I. Hummel. Handcrafted and hand-painted, the figurine stands 3-3/4" high. In excellent condition, with no damage noted, and comes with original paperwork and box. TMK8 plus oval mark indicating First Issue. Issued in 2003, and since discontinued.

Pair 1975 Weebles Pirate Ship Captain + Pirate 1 - Unopened

Imagine...� 35 years old and still awaiting that first play date, this unopened pair of Improved Peel Proof Weebles comes from the Treasure Island Pirate Ship play set, with the Ship's Captain on the left and Pirate #1, with his green neck scarf, on the right. � Known for the "Weebles wobble but don't fall down" catch phrase, these were produced by Hasbro, first introduced in the early 1970s (around 1973) with an outer peelable film. They were later improved (as is the case here) with the artwork kept safe inside a clear plastic shell.

With each Weeble measuring approx. 2" high, this 1975 vintage playtime set is still in its original blister package time capsule -- a perfect addition to your Hasbro Romper Room Weebles collection!

1978 Hallmark First Christmas Together Tree Trimmer Ornament

For the couple who 30+ plus years ago enjoyed their First Christmas Together and are still going strong today, this Hallmark tree trimmer ornament from 1978 is a special treat. The satin ball ornament is wrapped in a colorful display of red poinsettia flowers, holly leaf and berry sprigs, and two love birds face to face, a red 1978 heart between them.

First Christmas Together is found above the heart, while at the back of the ornament is the phrase Sharing is the heart of loving, in a heart frame.

All indications are that this ornament has never been out of the box, so I didn't want to remove it to photograph for fear that I might somehow affect the otherwise perfect condition of the ball ornament itself or the box, which itself is in near-mint condition with both the price tab and gift card still intact on and in the lid.

Breyer Appydaze Aristocrat Champion Hackney - Tent Special

One of a number of Breyer horses I have available, this horse is Appydaze (Model # 711036), the 9th model to come from the Aristocrat Champion Hackney mold originally sculpted by Kitty Cantrell. This Breyer horse figure is not quite as big as the other Traditional horses.

This beautiful black leopard (black and white) appaloosa was made for the 2006 Breyerfest Tent Special run, with only 1,500 released. In excellent condition, and coming from a large cabinet (non-toy) collection.

Vintage French Wood Catholic Rosary

Another wonderful vintage rosary, this one made in France and a bit smaller. The beads appear to be wooden (I can see the wood grain with my loupe), and the color jet black with no indications of having been dyed or stained, leading me to speculate they, as well as the crucifix, may be ebony. The oval-shaped beads are approx. 5/16" in length, all smooth and soothing, making these prayer beads a perfect devotional instrument. The cross is 1-1/2" long and features a miniature silver metal corpus.

Rosary weight: 16 grams. Measures 22" long, including the 7" drop below the center medal. In good condition; marked France on the reverse of the wooden crucifix.
