Helle Comfort Galena Dress Sandal - Metallic Gold Bronze - Dust

Although pre-owned, all indications are that these Helle Comfort slide shoes have never been worn. In the Galena style, the criss-cross strap has a metallic look, with shimmering gold elastic straps topped by a bronze-colored thinner leather strap.

Size: 37 (European); 7 (U.S.) (NOTE: I found one reference suggesting that these shoes tend to run 1/2 size smaller, but the elastic strap accommodates a range of widths.)

Toe to heel, these shoes measure 9-3/4" long, with a width of approx. 3-3/8".
Heel height: approx. 2-1/2"

In excellent condition, with original Helle Comfort dust bag.

Black Bead Vintage Shoe Clips - Pair

A lovely pair of vintage shoe clips, done entirely in black glass beads, with the side wings encrusted with tiny, round black beads and thin tubular beads, and the center of the shoe clips topped with a cluster of larger round black beads.�

These shoe clips are in excellent condition, in fact I'm not even certain they've ever been used.� Please note that I have multiple sets.�

Measure 2-1/2" long and 1-1/8" wide.�

1960s Green Silk Flower Ladies Hat with Creamy Green Rose Top

Gently worn Donald J. Pliner wedge sandals (Kiwa), with a black elastic cross-over upper and a patent sling-back strap. Both the foot bed and sole are leather lined, and the platform wedge covered in woven bamboo. In excellent condition, appearing to have been worn only a couple of times.

Stylish Black Onex Slide Sandal with Rhinestone Button

Now THIS is a pair of shoes that makes me wish my feet were just a tad bit smaller. From the same estate as the other various Onex shoes I have available, this pair of dressy slip-on wedge sandals have a stretch fabric upper with a thin single sweeping stitched black band that crosses the top. Set off to one side is a showy rhinestone button, a single row of rhinestones set around a textured golden top. Made in the U.S. by Onex. In great, gently worn condition. (The rhinestone sparkle appears to have left even my camera a tad bit mesmerized.)

Vintage Goat Fur Cape Wrap - LeAnn Fine Furs Furrier

Awesome vintage goat fur cape or wrap from LeAnn Fine Furs, a furrier that had locations in St. Louis, New York, and Chicago back in the 1950s. The vertically cut panels are predominantly a light brown color with deep cocoa spots, the largest of which are found at the front shoulder area of the shawl lapel. The inner satin lining has a floral pattern, and there is one hook and eye closure at the front. In excellent vintage condition, with no damage noted.

Lapel measures approx. 19" long, while the back is 24" long and the shoulder width is 17-1/2".

Vintage Brown Mink Stole Wrap Shawl - D. Katz Furrier

A beautiful mahogany brown mink stole from St. Louis furrier D. Katz, likely dating to the 1950s.� This shawl wrap measures 30" long from the shoulder seam down, with a shoulder width of approx. 18" and back length of 21-1/2".� The brown satin lining has a decorative stitching, with one lined, side slash pocket on the right front and a single hook-eye closer.

In very good to excellent condition, with gorgeous color to the pelts, soft fur, and supple hides, and an inner lining condition that confirms it's been well-cared for.� The front lower edging looks a tad bit thin, but I speculate it's more the result of the inward turn or fold to the pelt at the seam.� (For better viewing, click on images for larger, zoom version.)

Adorable pair of black suede slip-on ladies shoes by Sofft, size 6-1/2M. These mule-style shoes have a smooth, sweeping leather panel set into the pleated suede top. Made with a leather upper lining sock, patterned rubber sole, with the balance man-made material, these shoes are in excellent condition, appearing to have seen little wear.

Sofft Bronze Ladies Slide Wedge Sandals - Size 6-1/2 M

One of a number of gently worn sandals I have available, this comfy pair of slip-on low-heel sandals is from Sofft. The rich bronze-colored leather upper has a triangle cutout at the outer side, with two sets of three metal brads embellishing the layered seams. The heel rest is padded for a comfortable wear and bears the Sofft logo. One scuff in the leather on the right heel, as shown, but otherwise these show little sign of wear.

Size 6-1/2 M.

Lady Cotton Batiste Waltz Length Lingerie Gown and Cover Robe

Sweet as can be, here we have a vintage cotton batiste waltz-length lingerie gown by Stately Lady, in a dainty pink polka dot fabric, with a ruffled flounce at the base. As with my other vintage lingerie, I believe this dates to the 1950s.

Enhancing the charm of this sleeveless gown is a sweetheart embroidered yoke trimmed with white and pink lace and a pink satin ribbon to add the finishing touch. For those times when you need a little more coverage, also included is a matching short-sleeve button-down robe.

The gown tag is marked as a large, with the waist measuring 14-1/2" across (when measuring flat), with elastic in the back to provide a bit more give. The gown measures 24" across at the hips and approx. 44" long.

The matching lightweight cotton robe is marked as a medium, but measures 16-1/2" across at the shoulder seams, 22" across under the sleeves, 25" across at the hip-level pocket, and is 46" long to the straight-hem base.

Both pieces are in excellent, never-been-worn condition, with no holes, tears, or stains noted.

Pink Rosebud Cotton Tele-Queen Robe by Nu-Mode Lingerie

Fresh from around the 1950s, offered here is a sweet lightweight robe or cover by Nu-Mode Lingerie under a Tele-Queen label. Set against a white cotton background are alternating vertical rows of miniature pink rose buds with green stems and leaves and a continuous dotted wavy line. Pink piping trim gives a finished look to the collar and pocket. This robe is unmarked as to fabric content, but I believe it's a cotton material.

It's times like these that I wish I had a mannequin or other means of presenting vintage clothing. Thankfully the patterned paper example should aid your imagination, but please note the top and pant set shown is not actually included.

The crisp label shows a 36, which presumably relates to measurement or size. However, since I'm not sure how that should translate, the measurements are as follows (when measured flat):

16" across the shoulder seams; 21" across, under the short sleeves; 8-3/4" from the shoulder to tip of sleeve; 22-1/2" across, just above the pocket; and 33" long, shoulder seam to bottom hem.

In excellent, crisp, never-been-washed-OR-worn condition, with no stains or tears.

Vintage Women's Starched Feather & Lace Hat

Another wonderful vintage feather hat, this one most unusual in that it has an interior lining of lace, an outer layer of feathers, and a thin black velvet fabric sandwiched in between, all in a starched form that has been finished off with a gathering of feathers at one side. This ladies hat has no label to provide hints as to maker or age. At the bottom rim, this hat measures 9" front to back, 7-7/8" side to side, and 5" high. In great condition, with no missing feathers.

Vintage Petit Point Purse with Floral Centerpiece Panels

This lovely petit point purse is a floral delight, with both side panels filled with a centerpiece of fresh cut flowers, a band of pink roses adding a sweet touch to the sides and base.� The brass frame is decorated with two raised bands of petite flowers, while cut steel adds a sparkling touch to either side of the braided hinge flip clasp that is finished with a cultured pearl.

Measures 6-1/2" wide, 5-3/4" high (not including the link chain handle), with the bottom band measuring 5/8" wide.� The petit point appears to be in excellent condition; I find no stains, tears, or notable wear.� The inner silk lining shows some discoloration, more the result of age, with a couple of small ink-type marks here and there.

Marvelous Marmot Fur Stole Cape - Perlstein Furrier

Oh so soft and oh so marvelous, this vintage fur cape or stole just begs to be touched! In a subtle stripe pattern of deep mahogany and brown-black, the long front cape panels give the wrap an elegant look while providing added warmth and comfort for your hands and arms.

It was initially suggested that this was squirrel fur, and further research seems to narrow it to the marmot, of the squirrel family. As best I can tell, the coloration and striping appear to be natural.

Front panel measures 9-1/2" wide and 32" long from the shoulder seam down, while the cape back is 18" long and approx. 18" wide across the shoulders, with inner arm loops/straps to keep it in place.

Circa 1950, the label is that of the Perlstein Fur Co. in St. Louis. In fabulous condition with no shedding, rips, or stains; I note only one small burn hole on the inner lining.

1950s Children's Gloves with Applique Sailor, Finger Legs

Absolutely precious, this vintage pair of children's gloves (size 3) is decorated with cut and hand-stitched felt pieces that transform the knitted creamy white glove top into a sailor's torso. The sailor is dressed in a creamy white jacket, topped by a red collar that is trimmed with a yellow bead piping. Tiny stitched beads serve as the sailor's mouth and eyes, while curly brown wool hair peeks out from below a matching red hat. Bringing the gloves to life, the inner two fingers are knitted with contrasting navy or midnight blue yarn, with dangling yellow pom-pom balls stitched at the fingertips to serve as the sailor's feet.

Made in Japan, likely around the early 1950s, these gloves have never been worn. They still have a foiled paper tag attached to one of the gloves that has a crown at the top and reads "The Aristocrat of Imports," whoever that might've been. The original price tag is still pinned to the inside. Tag indicates WPL 10402 50% wool 50% nylon, Size 3 Japan.

Measure 6-1/4" long from the glove top to the finger tip (excluding the pompoms). In excellent condition.
