German Hansel Porcelain Broom Handle Doll Figure

I'm not absolutely certain, but I believe this cute little porcelain Hansel figure is actually designed to serve as a hand broom handle -- I acquired him along with the various half dolls that you'll find in my shop; the base on which he stands is hollow, perfect for accommodating a gathering of broom bristles; and, well, isn't Hansel typically near a broom??....

Approximately 4-1/2" in total height, Hansel stands with one hand holding one side of his jacket front while the other hand rests on his hip. Decorated in bright colors of yellow, green, lavender/purple, and red, the base pedestal is approx. 1" high and 1-1/4" in diameter. There is a tight hairline crack that runs up the front, below his toe, and three flakes in the glaze, around the base. Overall in rather fine condition, this guy is both adorable and a bit unusual. Bears an impressed "Germany" marked on the back, as well as ink-stamped Germany on the inside.

Sassy Porcelain Half Doll Broom

An interesting porcelain or hard paste half doll who appears to be wearing a flapper-type headdress and set atop a green hand broom. Unlike most of the other half dolls that I have available, this sassy young lady does not appear to be marked in any way. She does, however, resemble the German 8026 half doll.

Measures 3-5/8" high, while the broom itself is 5-1/4" high. Slight wear to the paint and some discoloration to the base that almost looks like, but doesn't feel like, tape residue. (I've not attempted to remove it for fear of removing the hand-painted decoration.) Still a charming addition for any collection.

Patty - Musical Dynasty Rock-A-Bye Baby Doll Collection

Meet porcelain Patty from the Dynasty Doll Collection. Isn't she just absolutely adorable, in her lacy, pink striped dress and white bloomers. And look at those big, bright, blue eyes! (Her hair's a bit tousled, but then again, it can sometimes be a bit difficult managing such curly hair, can't it?)

It would appear Patty never ventured out of her room to play with the other girls. In absolutely beautiful condition, she sits approx. 7" high and gently rocks left, right, and forward as she plays "Rock-A-Bye Baby." (I've tried to depict her movement in the photos.)

Tuxedo Man Frozen Charlotte Mini Bisque Doll - Made In Japan

Another old frozen Charlotte bisque doll made in Japan, this guy's all dressed up and now just waiting for a place to go!� Duded up in a blue tuxedo and a black top hat, the cold paint is rubbed and worn on the edges, and but he's still quite charming.� Stands 2" high; marked "Japan" down the back of his tuxedo.� Has a bit of a lean when he's standing, and more exaggerated on one foot than the other.� (I'm speculating his bachelor party was last night, and we're now seeing the after-effects...)

Porcelain German Hertwig Half Doll in Ribbons & Bows # 8030

Daydreaming or maybe contemplating a romantic mistake and the man she let get away, this German female half doll poses with one arm bent, hand to her chest, while her other arm is bent away, her hand behind her head. This porcelain half doll has lovely blue eyes, perky red lips, blushing complexion, and light-colored hair in an updo, accented by a blue hair ribbon band. Her blouse has a front closure of three stacked yellow bows.

She measures approx. 3-3/4" high, with no chips, cracks, or repairs; slight variation in skin tone color at the arm. Marked Germany at the lower back, above the Hertwig 8030 style number. Circa 1920.

Spanish Dancer Half Doll - Germany 8033

This porcelain German Spanish dancer half doll appears to be enjoying a dreamy rest. Measuring approx. 3-3/4" high, she has what looks to be a navy blue mantilla comb crowning her jet black hair and an orange inset at her bodice front.

She is incised 8033 Germany on the back. In good condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks. There are a few small paint flakes from the back of her hair, a beauty mark on the side of her nose, and the mascara on one eye was smeared when applied.
