2 Linen Postcards - New Orleans, America's Most Interesting City
$10.00
Offered here is a small lot of two "Natural Color Cards" by E.C. Kropp, featuring scenes found in New Orleans. The first gives us a look down Pirates Alley, with the postcard believed to be #157 of a series, based on the number showing on the front.
Card back is postally unused, and reads "Through this alleyway the pirates were taken to the Cabildo Jail, hence the name, also known as Orleans Alley, separating the Cabildo from the Old St. Louis Cathedral it extends for one block from Royal Street to Chartres Street. Here the atmosphere of old France and Old Spain still prevails."
The second post card provides a beautiful scene of the Courtyard of Little Theatre, Card #176. Again, this card is unused, and the back reads "Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre is one of the most successful and best known (Little Theatres) in the country. It is located at 619 St. Peter St., where this colorful courtyard can be seen."
Both cards are in excellent condition, with strong color and no creases or tears affecting the gorgeous scenes depicted.
Price is for both cards.

Thanks so much. I now have every plate from 1960 forward! Very excited. I have them displayed on my kitchen walls, and they look super.
Thank you for your wonderful service. I will certainly keep looking at your website.
