1969 Royal Copenhagen Victoria Spatii/Conquest of Space Plate

Commemorating the U.S. astronauts' first landing on the moon, this 1969 Royal Copenhagen plate looks back at Earth with now a look back in time, showing a landscape of the American flag planted amidst the first footsteps on the moon. Issued 40 years ago, this porcelain plate reminds us of the Conquest of Space through its title Victoria Spatii.

Designed by Sven Vestergard, this plate is designed with two holes in the bottom rim for hanging as a wall decoration. Marked Royal Copenhagen – Denmark. Measures 7" in diameter; in excellent condition.
